Legend of the Seeker se bazeaza pe seria de romane intitulata "The Swrod of Truth" a celebrului scriitor Terry Goodkind. Seria prezinta aventura epica a tanarului erou, insotit de o misterioasa femeie pe nume Kahlan Amnell si excentricul vrajitor Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, in incercarea de a-l impieduca pe magul razbunator Darken Rahl de la gestul nebunesc de a dezlantui asupra lumii o putere straveche si infioratoare.
