Chiar daca este un vampir Stefan incearca sa-si ascunda acete instincte . Stefan are un frate , pe nume Damon care , fata de Stefan tot ceea ce face este sa-si faca treaba de vampir, sa faca rau oamenilor , incercand chiar sa o omoare pe Elena, astfel s-a declansat o adevarata rivalitate intre cei doi frati Serialul The Vampire Diaries este o adaptare a unei serii de carti publicate in 1991.
