El este cunoscut pentru faptul ca a elucidat un numar impresionant de crime, datorita talentului deosebit de a observa pana la cele mai mici detalii. In Birou, Patrick, este celebru pentru lipsa de protocol si asa zisa faima de medium, desi acum recunoaste ca in trecut, s-a prefacut ca are abilitati paranormale. Talentul lui Jane de a rezolva cazuri de mare importanta, este mereu analizat de colegii sai.Cu toate acestea Agentul Teresa Lisbon, nu se teme sa recunoasca ca nu-l doreste pe Jane in echipa sa, datorita faptului ca este: narcisist, teatral, periculos si fara limite. In echipa lui Lisbon, includem agentii: Kimbal Cho, Wayne Rigsby si incepatoarea Grace Van Pelt, care de asemenea cred ca Jane este de necontrolat, dar ii admira sarmul si talentul de a rezolva cazurile.
